  • Trim wicks to 1/4 inch before lighting your candle the first time and every time.  We find toenail clippers work well for this.
  • Burn your candle on a stable heat resistant surface.
  • Do not burn near drafts.
  • Keep matches, wick trim, etc. out of container.
  • Keep wick away from side of jar.
  • Extinguish candle and allow to cool before trimming wick or replacing lid.
  • Do not burn candle when wax level gets below 1/2 inch deep.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets and away from flammable objects.
  • Never leave burning candle unattended.

Cajun Country Candles are designed to burn evenly and completely all the way down.  To accomplish this, you may have to burn the 8 ounce candle about 2 to 3 hours at a time for the top of the candle to liquefy across to the sides of the jar.  The 24 ounce candles may take 4 to 5 hours of burning to liquefy across.  If you cannot burn for this amount of time or if your candle starts to leave wax on the side of the jar, you can take a hair dryer and gently melt the wax to level your candle before you trim the wicks again.
